EWL Preseason Coaches’ Poll Results

EDINBORO, PA – Led by two-time NCAA Division I All-American Chad Walsh and defending EWL Champion BJ Clagon, as well as having all ten of their wrestlers predicted by the coaches to finish in the top four, Rider is predicted to be the 2017-18 EWL Champions, on both a dual and tournament basis. Clagon and Walsh are also picked to be champions at 157 and 165 pounds, respectively. They are followed by Edinboro, led by 2017 All-American Sean Russell, who is picked to win the EWL Championship at 125 pounds for the third time in his career. Other projected champions are Korbin Myers (Edinboro) at 133 pounds, Brock Zacherl (Clarion) at 141 pounds, Ronnie Perry (Lock Haven) at 149 pounds, Ty Schoffstall (Edinboro) at 174 pounds, Nick Corba (Cleveland State) at 184 pounds, Dustin Conti (Clarion) at 197 pounds, and Thomas Haines (Lock Haven) at Heavyweight.
